Amy Vaughn
Communications Manager
After 30 years working in the public schools, Amy Vaughn transitioned to work for The Industrial Commons Communications Team. She is a state and nationally-recognized high school English instructor with diverse work experience in the public school system. She has worked to develop community networks for the public schools, written grants to support the community vision for the Enola Community Wetlands and Trail, and assessed progress towards those goals. Vaughn has international experience with school systems and has worked to bring diverse perspectives to the school and the larger community. She is experienced in assessing data, analytical questioning, and evaluating materials. Originally from Buncombe County, Amy has lived in Burke County for over 30 years and enjoys cooking, hiking, gardening, and traveling with her family. Amy chose to come to TIC because of its mission to positively impact the region with a new vision for legacy industries and community partnerships.
